Default srt-8 300c vs srt-8 charger

I ran a 300c srt-8 last night in my srt-8 charger he gave me one and the break in 1/4 mile I only beat him by a bumper. He has a k/n filter and his resonators cut off. do you think he has more work done cause my car is born stock for now but not for long.

I read that our Chargers should beat a 300 due to the cooling hood scoop, but not till you get up to speed. If he had a K&N and resonators cut off I'm not suprised, thats like the best mods you can do w/o touching the motor

The hood scoop on our cars isn't going to give us an advantage in the 1/4 (even with the hood scoop attachment from Airraid) once @ speed yeah it can help (by forcing cold air in, I know my intake stays nice and cool so long as I'm driving 30+ and again, this is with the hood scoop attachment) but it's not a true ram air.

Winning by a fender just means you out launched him, congrats on the win

It's not forced... but it does feed more air...

Stock for stock, these 2 cars are identical in performance. The hood scoop does let air in from the outside, but this does not translate into any significant difference during a quick run. During a long run, however, it may keep the engine bay a few degrees cooler.

Get a set of headers, and replace the stock exhaust. You will beat him next time.

Stock, engines are the same. But I think the 300 is lighter than the charger, Charger is a biger car... but what the hell, SRT 8 ....
