Has anyone tried one of the SLR Performance Chips? Not that I expect to gain 50+HP for $70 but heck I'd take a 10-15 HP gain for that cash.

 

HEY BIGCOUNTRY....I'M WITH YOU. CHECKED OUT THERE WEBSITE,AND BESIDES HAVING A "CHIP"
FOR THE 6.1 MOTOR, THEY LIST ONE FOR MY '93 -350 VAN MOTOR (5.2 L). NOW WHERE THE HELL WOULD THAT CHIP GO??? MY VAN'S CONTROL "COMPUTER" LOOKS TO BE A SEALED BOX
WITH A 60 PIN CONNECTOR. ANYWAY, A GAIN OF EVEN 5- 10 HP MIGHT BE WORTH A TRY FOR THAT MONEY.....

 

Hi folks. I ordered an SLR chip for my Dodge Dakota V-6. I can't speak for HP but my gas mileage went up about 3 MPG. It doesn't connect to your computer the way you think. Mine connected via the IAT(Intake air temp sensor line to the computer). Yours will probably do the same. Good luck if you decide to try it. I ordered two more for my Jeep Liberty and Cherokee. We'll see what happens for $70. Steve

 

Hey steve...sounds good! So where exactly does this "chip" hook into the air
charge sensor??? And what else has to be done, such as a new flash update?
