Charger SRT-8 That thing got a Hemi? Indeed, a 6.1L Hemi that is. The Dodge Charger SRT-8 pounds the pavement with severe power.

Default sparky plug changes...

What's dodges service interval for changing the plugs on the 6.1, and, are they the same copper plugs as the 5.7 hemi? I'm due to change the plugs on my 5.7, and if the 6.1 plugs are a better quality and can can go longer, I'm considering using the 6.1 plugs in my 5.7.

Also, still looking for any SRT 8 as a 2nd car...

Now, do the forth gen hemis Rams use the identical same sprk plugs as the 3rd gen hemi, I want to change my plugs, again, looking for a better, longer lasting plug...If copper is to the way to go, what brands of copper plugs will out last the champions?

Yea, they still use the same copper plug. You can use others that will last longer, but you'll lose performance. Just stick with coppers and be happy.

I thought the 6.1 had better spark plugs. I was told by a Dodge Tech That My 6.1 had iridium plugs.

Correct. The 6.1L engines use NGK double platinum plugs that have a 99K mile replacement interval. The 5.7L engines use Champion Copper Plus plugs with a 30K swap interval.

Good to know. I used to work at a dealer and never really did a tune-up on an SRT8 model vehicle. Didn't know the SRT's used the expensive plugs! Great!
