Factory Oil Pressure?
I'm dropping a 2008 6.1 Hemi into an old DeSoto. I have a couple questions about oil pressure and the oil pressure sender.
What is the "normal" operating oil pressure at the sensor? I'm planning to recalibrate the original oil pressure gauge. From searching around the web, it sounds as though the oil pressure may fluctuate significantly depending on temperature and RPM.
Does the oil pressure sender output go to the engine computer? I see these aftermarket oil pressure gauges for sale. Do these gauges get their input signal directly from the sender..or from the computer?
