Charger SRT-8 That thing got a Hemi? Indeed, a 6.1L Hemi that is. The Dodge Charger SRT-8 pounds the pavement with severe power.

Default Production #s?

How many Charger SRT8s will they make this year? I have heard "limited" but no idea what that really means. How many years do you think they will run these?

For 06, my guess is about 5K cars, the Charger SRT-8, that is. I cannot imagine thses being one year only, not with this drivetrain ending up in four or more vehicles, along with standalone trim pieces, mechanical bits, and such. Seats, rear ends, instrument clusters, wheels to just name a few. Spooling up production of all these items for one model year is very prohibitive.

There are at least four SRT-8 variant, the 300, Magnum, Charger, Grand Cherrokee, and rumours of a possible Dakota.

It is to my understanding that original production for the Charger SRT-8 was only 800. Due to the popularity of the car production has been Raised to 4,000 with the Brilliant Black being the most limited. According to my source at Dodge, there are more than 7,000 orders in the order bank for this car already. Sounds to me like atleast 3,000 people so far are going to be dissapointed.

Wesley, your source is just fabricating stuff. Or severely mistaken. 800 cars? That number is ludicrous. Production started Sept 12th, and is planned to run through June or July of next year. They have already made more than 300, in only a month and a half. Making only 800 in 9 months would be insane. Now, the 4K might very well be accurate, but that kind of number has been a good guess all along.

7 thousand orders in the system, again, might very well be accurate, but Id say most of those are dealer orders. There should not be any problem with finding one if anyone wants one. Heres a production tidbit from a worker at Brampton, the plant they make the cars at. Oh, and your source was wrong about the black thing too. So far, black accounts for %73 of production. Be honest, your source is a dealer level guy, isnt he?
