Stupid question?
Does adding aftermarket parts, such as exhaust systems or K&N air filters, affect the Dodge warranty? I have a new Charger SRT8 and would like to beef it up a little but do not want to void any warranties. By the way, the cars computer is telling me that I am averaging close to 15 miles to the gallon. That is more than I expected. Anyone else getting these numbers?

The warranty can only be voided for the affected part if the dealer can prove that the problem was directly caused by the aftermarket part. I can't imagine a new filter (or CAI) or cat-back doing any damage.
