SRT-8 vs. STI
Hey all!
Just wondering, has anyone dragged their SRT-8 against a Subaru STI?
If so, what were the results?
The reason I ask is that a friend of mine who knows a fellow in town with an STI is trying to set up a race between the two of us, and I would like to know ahead of time as to what my chances are. On paper, it would seem as though the STI would take me off the line with it's definite traction advantage (all wheel drive and lighter weight). But, I'm willing to bet that I would be able to reel him in utilizing my far greater horsepower and torque (particularly in the top end). I drive a Charger SRT-8 whose only mods are a Mopar Cold Air Intake.
All in all, I think this will be a very close drag race as both cars have their distinct advantages. Any thoughts?

Hmmmm...I've seen times alot better than that for the SRTs though. I read on allpar awhile back about a guy who ran a 12.8 with his 300C. Over the years, I've lost alot of respect for Motor Trend and the accuracy of their numbers. I've always been more of a Road and Track kinda guy...
If you raced on the highway then you would win STi's are pretty slow after 120mph. BUt at the track its going to be close. If you can launch your car good then you should be able to pull off a 13flat.
