DVD system add on to SRT8 Charger can be done & was done. It came out very cool. System plays independently of front stereo. Kids can listen to CD, Sirius, Radio or DVD while you listen to whatever you want. Two headphones come with it. Pretty quick install from the dealer.

Could I please have the name of the dealer and in what city regarding dvd install.My dealer up here in Canada seems to think it can't be done.My wife even bugged dodge when are srt8 was being built and it was a no go.Was it a factory system?

 

I'm interested too. I was quoted $2000 by my dealer to buy the factory rear DVD player like the regular Charger's have.

 

Glendora Dodge in CA did the labor for $285. $1,075 for the system plus tax.

System is awesome. works flawless. Kids hae their own stereo, sat. or dvd without changing my music.

 

Is that the factory system though? Like the one in the regular Charger? Or was it an after market custom system. Either way that sounds like a good deal. I just asked my dealer to contact your dealer and apparently the system is available here as well. So I've asked them to order and install it in my car as well...based on your glowing review!

 

Picked up my car yesterday with the VES installed. It is the factory one ($1500 ish Canadian) and works great. Got three wireless headphones for the kids and they can watch movies while I'm listening to the stereo up front. Or you can switch the front to VES and listen to the movie over the speakers. No complaints so far. Glad I got it, it was the one thing missing from the SRT.
