Over the last two months, I have been hearing this bizarre "Chatter-Creak" noise coming from my driver's-side dash area near one of the air vents. The noise only seems to happen early in the morning and late in the evening when it cools off outside. At first, I thought it was just a generic dash noise. However, after hearing it a few times, it was apparent that it was something mechanical/electrical causing it for it happened even when the car was sitting still.

If I could compare this noise to something, it would be either the sound of someone running their fingernails up and down the teeth of a comb, or perhaps the sound of a computer processor working away.

Should I be concerned by this noise?

Could it possibly be some sort of electrical short that will burn my car to the ground overnight and leave nothing but an SRT-8 badge amidst a pile of ash and debris? LoL
