I have been drooling over the Magnum, then the SRT8 since the first appearances in the Dodge mag. Before that I drooled over the Ram after it's first TV add. I got the Hemi Ram 3 yrs ago (actually traded in the non-Hemi ram from 4 yrs ago), now I am close to trading it for the Magnum SRT8. I will miss the Ram, love that truck; but I probably will get a beater 2500 for now.

My logic is that these Magnum SRT8's are limited and potentially future-rare. I can get another Ram when ready (probably the mega-cab cummins, the next drool instigator). And the Magnums are so very cool! Dodge just does some gutsy stuff.

The Magnum SRT8s are subject to the employee discount now, the right color etc is available locally, and they are offering a fairly decent trade-in. And a couple theories I heard was the Magnum might be 'short term' as the sales volumes are falling off?

Anyway, found this great site on the eve of my decision and thought I would post for input, comments, and general thoughts.

Well, we did it that next day. Worked out pretty well with the employee pricing (even though they tried to say it didn't qualify at the last minute). After I let them play that game, we worked the rest out in a record time of 5 hrs [&:] and drove the beast home!

Loving it, too much fun to drive. I have a few questions to post, see you in the funny e-papers! (forums)
