OK here is it I have put a magnaflow system my own with stock piping with the stock x-pipe but took everything else out left the cats but nonthing else and 2 magnaflow muffelers, Im thinking about just taking out the X-Pipe out to get it more sound. Im going for loud, would taking out the cats do anything or just mess up the engines computer? also if you know Im looking at the Jet chip stage 2 for this car it is the SRT 8 so im wondering if thats worth the money? any help would be great!!!!

 

Dont remove cats all togeather you will get all kinds of engine codes, replace with high flow cats (JBA), Change your Muf to mabey a Flowmaster 40 or 30. you will get the sound your looking for the magnaflow is mellow to the flowmaster 30. And with the Jet Stage II you will need CAI, and a 180 therm. And its well worth the money. Check Ebay and DF for part sales cheaper then buying new.

I am looking at getting the srt8 after turning my dodge ram in in july. What is the best exhaust to get. Im looking for loud and mean sounding. What i had done on my dodge ram hemi was, had the muffler and resinater cut off and a flowmaster 40series put in place and i was very satisfied with the results.
