I'm wrestling (literally) w/ trying to get the instrument panel out of my 68 Dart. It is a column shift car. I've unhooked two separate circuit board connectors, the speedo cable, as well as the AMP gauge leads. Nothing wiring wise seems to be holding it up, yet I can't pull it through the dash? Can't imagine it is supposed to be dropped downward? Or. lower steering column...all seems too much - I must be missing something...HELP

Been a lot of years since I had to pull a 68 cluster, but if I recall the column needs to be lowered to get it out

Is it just the 4 bolts (2 on each side) of the column bracket? I need to look at that closer, but off hand, that's all I saw?

 

Just adding this info in case someone searches this later. Having completed the job, it goes a lot smoother pulling and instaling the instrument cluster, if the gauge light bulbs are removed...every bit of room is necessay.
