What do you mean not very popular? They're one of my all time favorites.
We've started a Duster project that I'm getting pretty excited about. We found a fairly dry body that had a 318/904 combo. It was going to be a 12 second small block car for my daughter to learn how to drag race in and, as usual, it's grown out of proportion into a possible nine second beast. Picking up a 440 that pushed an E body to 10.20s. I think we can come in about 500 lbs lighter in the Duster and keep it around the 3,000 lbs level. It'll run a beefed up 727 with a Gear Vendor overdrive and Hurst Quarter Stick shifter. Thinking of going with a Landrum monoleaf set-up in the rear with a custom Dana 60. Mini tubs will let us put some real tire under the back. Interior will be race inspired but comfortable and classy. Right now we're assembling the parts while we go through the body.
And, yes Strat, the Demon name seems to fit you well. BTW have you seen the Mirada in the new issue of Mopar Muscle?
