How many 1964 Dodge Darts?
I am the original owner of a 1964 Dodge Dart GT hardtop with a 273 V8, SureGrip traction, seat belts with retractors and 4-speed Hurst shifter in a dark turquoise color. I'd like to find out how many were produced in that model year with these specifications?
that might be hard to find out, chrysler might know. what ever you do DONT moddifie any thing. things that you should NOT remove or mod, carburetor, it should be a AFB, it is hard to find, above all dont loose the aluminium tag. all so dont mod the exhaust system, it to is rare. and of course the trany same thing. all so the air cleaner. i think i have the lid for it, i think. my dad bought a '64 Dodge Custom 880 hardtop stationwagon new, it was a great car. a lot of people dont know what the 880 means, or 440. the 880 was really on the chrysler frame.

Olf, of Sweden, on forabodiesonly has the name 65DartChargerGT or such. He is the expert on all existing 65 Dart Chargers, which was a 273 4 bbl and maybe other options. He may have info on 64's. "GT" was a trim level and can be found on 6 cyls. If you have the rarer HiPo ("Commando") engine, you will have a 4 bbl AFB carb and fins on the valve cover. The 4 spd tranny is extra rare. You will also have the unique exhaust with square resonantor at the rear and a cutout in the rear valance of the body sheet metal for that. See AllPar.com for info and photos.
