Ordered a gen-u-wine NOS MOPAR ignition control module today. $55 w/shipping. We'll see if it works in 3-5 business days.
Tryed the balast resistor; no luck. Thanks for the thought. Would have been cool if it was it (cheap fix)

check the hose that goes from the fuel pump to the frame. see if it has cracks letting air in, instead of fuel from the tank.

Soooooo, today I changed out the Electronic Ignition Control. Still no dice.
Next step I guess is the fuel filter or the distributor or if anyone has any other ideas I'd love to hear 'em.
I'd been holding off on the filter because its in the garage and I didnt want to make a mess. Guess its time to get dirty. ;-)

Eureka!!!!!
I got it started. Thing is I didnt do anything.
I was about to get into changing the fuel filter when I noticed the foil hose from the air filter to the engine was loose, so I wiggled it into place. Then when I got in the car I pumped the gas a bit out of frustration and it started right up. WTF!!!!
She ran rough for a few minutes (a little flooded) and now shes purring out in the street. Gonna run it for a bit to charge up the battery.
I've really no clue. The distributer isnt loose. Maybe the fuel filter was blocked and pumping the gas cleared it or could be somthing was loose around the carburetor and when I wiggled the air intake it corrected itself. I dont know.
Now; let the detective work begin.

is the distributer, a point type, or an electric type?

Thanks Moe, for adding another question to the body of questions, which I've no idea the answer to...(tongue in cheeck). ;-)

I'm not really sure. Up until you asked I didnt know there was a difference. My Dart has an Electronic Ignition Control (orange transistor-type deal with a heat sink) which I'm pretty sure has somthing to do with the distributor (and was a pain then the a** to find, I had to order online).
I'm just really glad to have it up and running again. It's such fun to drive. Now I'm just trying to figure out what was up. I dont have to rely on it for work. I'd still be cautious befoore taking it more than around the block until I know.
