A bodies
Schumaker(sp?) Enterprises would have pretty much everything he needs to make the motor swap. As far as suspension, he'd want to get bigger torsion bars, heavier duty shocks, and a front sway bar. Just Suspension should have those available.
Thanks Patrick,
It's an IHRA-legal crate motor Stock class car. The engine is a "copy" of the 360/300hp Commando crate that Mopar use to sell over-the-counter that's "stock" within the rules: No porting or polishing on the OEM cast iron heads, 1.88"/1.60" valves, flat-top pistons, .474" lift cam, unmodified aluminum intake, 750 Holley, 904 trans and 4.56 gears. Drag shocks front & back with 6 cyl. torsion bars and SS springs on 9" rear tires. In the pic, the car weighs a minimum of 3,690lbs (K/CM - K crate motor class) or I also run at a minimum of 3,530lbs in J/CM. It can run mid-11's in decent weather and track conditions.
There are some other Commando and Magnum combos that run faster. But they are lighter and/or the owners have more "resources". In fact, a friend of mine owns a fast red Dart Sport and lives in Pittsburgh. Another friend of ours drove it to an IHRA world championship a couple years ago. And there is a Cordoba (similar to your Mirada) crate engine class car for sale up around Ohio or Michigan.

sure i have a couple. one is my 1970 340 swinger four speed.i have had since i was 16 ,it was my first car. I am the guy on here who has been doing the V8 RWD daytona conversions. The dart is in the back ground of my daytona pictured here the daytona has a 360 with a four speed in it. there is more pictures in the daytona forum here under the V8 thread if anyone is interested in seeing them. .also here is another picture from mopar collectors guide july 96, of my dart at a mopar show they did a feature on it. dont think it gets babied.it gets its fair share of abuse! I recently drove it on a 600 mile road trip to a cruise in at the beach it was a blast.
I agree there seems to be a real lack of darts here i wonder where they are all at?
right now i am working on a blown 440 pro street dart for another guy i hope to be finished with soon .I will post some pictures when its done.
by the way does any one here have any experience with the stage V hemi conversion heads for a 440?
