Exclamation First Dodge - '72 Demon

Hello everybody. Chris here from Puerto Rico. After a looong research for a nice project car from the late 60s or early 70s, I got myself a 72' Demon yesterday. The price was so low, I had to take it. Everything works, only have 71.000 miles on it and still the original backup wheel in the trunk. It needs a little bodywork but nothing big. Let me throw in a pic.

I did quite some research on the car and history since I honestly didnt even knew about its existence. I am originally from Europe and was more into Turbo Cars but as soon I moved to (the continent of) america, I wanted to finally have a muscle. The first one I had was a pretty mean 84' Camaro Z28 and the past 2 years I have been mainly riding motorcycles. Since the roads here are pretty bad I thought if I buy a car again, it have to be a real classic that I can keep for a longer time and completely build it up to my needs. I already answered most of the questions I had with my own research but I was curious about the wheels.

First of all, how much are the wheels worth? Because he wanted me to pay a little more to keep them on.

Whats the widest tire in the rear I can fit on the stock rims? I like them. They really look good on the car. Right now there are 225/70-14 installed.

What about spacers? Not sure how thats called correctly but I would also like to get them further out. They sit too deep inside the body.

Well, once again, hello, and thank you for the future help I get from you guys!

The rims are factory rally wheels, Not really rare but they seem to be in good condition. Let see more pics!

Those rims are standard rally wheels. Ebay @$50 each. 14 x 5.5, can't go too wide. Welcome to the forum and yes, lets see more pics!!!!

awesome. well he wanted $300 more with the wheels on. i like how they look but i want some fat tires in the rear. they should hold 245 or 255 or not? right now they have 225 in the rear and the tire is pretty much aligned with the wheel.

here two more pics.

instead of painting the car i want to wrap it in this color with black stripes:

I finally found the wheels on ebay and I get rather high prices especiallyand those in the link are even scratched, so maybe the $300 extra are a good investment...

Fix the rust before you wrap it. Those wheels are way overpriced.

If you are going to prep it why not just paint it instead of a wrap? How many other mopars do you have? I also see a Dart swinger.

Thats my first and only one. The guy I bought it from got 3 Demons, a Duster and a 72 Charger that I rather wanted to build up but it was too bad the rust.. Sadly.

I wanted to try something different, its way cheaper than paint and easier to change color, design. A 50ft long wrap is less than 250$. Thats enough for more than 2 cars.

I finished a draft in Photoshop how I was planning to make it look like, minus the rims.

Color, decals, hood scoop, front lip, black hood
