LOWERING '74dodge dart swinger front end???
yes it's easy .with the car's front end jacked up look up at the under side of the lower control arms there is a 3/4 hex bolt in the middle of the control arm turn this bolt counter clockwise .after you have found the adjustment bolt lower your car back to the ground and bounce/jounce the front end and take a measurement from the ground to the center of wheel well opening on your fender .the factory shop manual tell's you to measure from the ground to the lower part of the contorl arm but i found it to be easier to use the fender .now loosen the adjustment bolt a little at a time from side to side jounceing the front end after every adustment do this till you have reached your desired height .and remember to have a front end alignment to adjust your camber because it will be to negative and toe of course .
thanx for the advice so quickly, I will try that soon and let you know how it went, just removed old ratty vinyl top from my 2dr swinger and sanded off 32 year old glue , filled holes , primed and painted roof white, looks great with the metallic green swinger color baby!

no not yet .I have plenty of pic's of it back to 1986 when i started restoring it .i need to take some with a dig camera to down load .but i resentlly took the front suspention apart to powder coat all of the parts i will post in the future when finished but you know how it goes the snow ball affect you start with something and next thing you know you what change more things .Im already thinking of taking the 727 auto out the 3800 stall converter is just to mutch for the street and putting the 4 speed back in thats what it came with .thanks for the intrest .ya theres nothing like a mopar you look around and all you see is cameros and mustangs .I just love those young kid's who try to out accelerate me and just pull away from them .my demon with the 340 with w heads and the auto and 410 gears ran a 12.02 it the quarter so it's lots of fun on the street .
