Default my project K car

Greetings! I am new here, and am so glad I found a Dodge Website! I just recently aquired an 1985 Dodge Aries that was being pretty badly maintained. I am trying to do some simple things to it for now just to bring up the appearance a bit. Have already made a pretty big change in under a week. Other than new tires and hubcaps I have been thinking of painting the fenders black. Anyone have photos of this done? I'd love to see it before I do it.

I cleaned it out really well and got some seat covers and it made a huge difference

I also have removed about 1/4 of the pinstriping with a hairdryer and my fingernail. I was going to replace it with black but now I think I will like it better either without it.

Okay, so if anyone has any suggestion/comments/ideas I'd love to hear!

Thanks in advance and take care, Lara

I like the seat covers. And I also like it better without the pin-striping.

Nice find! Looks better with out the stripes. I wouldnt paint the fenders black, bring it back as close to original as possible. The Ks are considered rare. I have an 87 coupe in showroom condition, 7500 made and roughly 926 left today. Here is a link to the K car club as well as a link to a page on their site that lists how many Ks were made and how many are roughly left today.

Hope these help you out.

Enjoy the site and enjoy your K!!!
