removing tree sap
ok so during the winter(the last 3-4 months) i have only washed my truck quickly like twice( i know not very good, but when the water freezes as fast as it comes out of the hose it doesnt work well), well this weekend was nice and warm, and so is this week and i got a chance to wash it good inside and out and when i went to wax it i realized that tehre is tree sap(its a rough feeling) on the back gate my truck, how do i get it off, any suggestions would be appreciated and i would prefer to stay away from clay bar if possible, but may end up getting one to try later today, any other suggestions???
i have heard about claybars, but i cant find any place that sells them around here, ill try wd40 and the bug tar remover tomorrow morning, then its time wo wash/wax finally after a long winter
If its the tiny dots of sap the kind you can feel but not really see, the pressure washer at the car wash (self serve) always worked for me.Before I found the car wash did a good jobI was constantly removing it with a little kerosene on a rag.
tried teh WD40, and my dad suggested gasoline, so i tried both and it took most of it off, but not all and yea its the kind you can feel, but not see, i just cant seem to get it all off and its pissing me off i was going to break down and try a clay bar, but i cannot find anyplace around here that sells them[:@][:@]
i am out of ideas, may just have to wait until things warm up ALOT more
