I've washed my car 4 times since the snow has stopped (I'm in WA so rain hits us a lot still). But on my roof there is still a lot of grime. I can't find anything that will get rid of it. It's a brown dirt just sitting on the roof. I drive a silver Stratus sedan if color is a deal. I use Racer's Edge Wax if you are wondering (avionics style wax), as far as soap I've used different brands each time.

Lastly, I want to do some cover up til I have the xtra cash for a paint job. Any companies preferred out there?

 

Since you mentioned a paint job, are you sure it is grime? You could try a good paint cleaner such as Mothers Pre-Wax cleaner or get a clay bar to see if that will remove it.
