Default Porter Cable 7424

I read with great interest the pro's of the Porter Cable 7424 somewhere on this forum a couple of weeks ago. It convinced me to get one. I found this kit on the web for $189. Was wondering if you guys thought that was a good value or not?

Yup that should get you set for awhile. Autogeek's pads are extremely durable - the backing doesn't shred off after a few uses (like other pads I've tried [:@])

you also save some money by buying it as a kit.

I am going to have to buy a coule extra of the white pads though so I can use the cleaner then polish then wax though. Seemed like a deal to me, glad you agree.

You can buy a P/C at Lowes for 99.00 and a backing plate for about 10-15.00 and just get a medium polishing pad and a finishing pad and save yourself a few $$ but having the entire kit shipped together is not a bad idea at all. The P/C polishing/waxing system is the way to go! Once you own one, you'll never go back to hand waxing!
