Default Newbie w/ '19 black Daytona seeking wisdom

Went in for a GT, walked out with a black Daytona. Stuff happens. Now, seeking opinions on (reasonable) steps to protect my baby. Thoughts on ceramic coats? Dealer offered Simonize Glasscoat reduced to $600 as apology for fiasco there: three trips to dealer, dead battery on one car, another was still scratched after alleged wet sand/buff, not acceptable....it was insane. But I wanted black and they had them. Now, I have a lifetime of servitude to a black car. This car will be driven few times a week, year round. Unless it's slushy/icy. Garage stored. Take reduced price Simonize, or, other cheaper/better brands and provider options elsewhere?
Car has some "microswirls?" Dealer didn't have a touch free car wash?! And few possible bird spots on paint only I'll notice. Do I undergo paint correction, ie claybar/polish/buff, OR opt for just claybar & buff for swirls? Told I needed to correct before coating car. Had read you can really only polish once with a clearcoat. I have absolutely no idea about this stuff. "Junkman" alleges you can do paint correction yourself. Gotta be honest, thought scares me to death. Help!!
