Default best way to fix scratches in interior plastic

I've had the seats in and out of my Ram a few times doing the stereo install, and now I've got some ugly scratches on the center console plastic. What's the best way to remove the rough edges and polish it up a little, so that the edges of the scratch aren't white, and they aren't so noticeable? It's the light gray piece below the stereo/AC control piece.

Default RE: best way to fix scratches in interior plastic

I havent done it myself, but when we get our local interior repair guys over to fix plastic dashes and consoles they use a heat gun and some type of "sponge" that has a similar appearance to the factory grain, so when the plastic is heated they can work it around and give it the factory grain again. Then they airbrush the area with factory color matching paint. If its not that visible, sand it down workin your way to finer grit paper, then get some touch up paint.

Thanks for the reply! Got any idea where to find the sponge?
