Default Guide To Detailing

Just joined the site in anticipation of picking up an 07 ram. Wanted to show all you detailing buffs (pun not intended) some REALLY good information. http://autopia.org/forum/guide-detailing There is a good 2-4 hours of reading in these articles about all aspects of auto detailing; washing, claying, polishing, waxing/sealing, interior cleaning, engine bay detailing, and much much more. The articles are mainly for the hobbyist, do it yourselfer, but even thorough enough for the professional.

I got into detailing when I was 15 years old and at age 20 now, I still learn from this forum, as well as www.detailcity.com, and www.meguiarsonline.com. I have learned much more from these forums, than I ever did working for the man at 8 different auto detailing shops around metro Detroit. I would probably say I learned 10 times more...at least 10 times more from these forums than first hand working experience. So if you want to learn more about auto detailing, the right way; check out these message boards. You don't have to join to learn, just reading through the posts you will be amazed at what you can learn in a few hours time. Hope you all find this as invaluable of a resource as I do.

Thanks Shaun for posting that. Yes, autopia.org is a great site... I am on there as MoparMike.

May I add, anyone interested in getting into detailling please contact a local shop and see if you can get a job as an assistant.

I would be there, if I wasn't 1200 miles away in sunny Florida. Shnormo what is the name of your company?
