Default 2008 2500 SB Dually Conversion

Hey Everybody, I am new member to the forum, but have viewed many post over the years. Now I need some help.

I have a 2008 Dodge 2500 SB Diesel I need to convert to a dually?
I haul a 4000lb, 2008 Lance 865 Camper that only fits a short box.
I also tow a 2008 Skeeter 20I Bass Boat that weighs in at about 4300lbs.
Its a heavy load, but the truck seems to like it. (8260 back axle)
The wheels on the back arent real happy about it though.
I have broke 2 different rims on the back over the last 1.5 years.

The last set were the strongest wheels I could find. It could have been a flaw in the wheel or I could have hit something just right, but at any case the dealer is taking them back. Now is the time to do the conversion if I am going to do it.

I was wondering if anybody has attempted this. I am mostly concerned with the fenders. Wheels and tires are not a problem as well as the adapters. Just curious about the fenders????

Thanks,

Chris

I have done a few mods already if anybody needs any help.

I havent seen anyone do this or even think about it. But thats not to say it hasnt been done. Seems like a lot of work and money to me but to each their own.

However, with all that being said, I will move this over to the CTD section where there are more diesel guys and dually's.

you can buy rear fenders for a duall on ebay but i couldn't seem to find any for the mega cab but like dodge trucker said mega cab box would work great. just trade your truck in for a mega cab.

I have found the fenders at http://www.duallyfendersusa.com/fenderprice.htm

Just checking to see if anybody else has done this or not.
I have heard the Megs Cab has different dimensions of the bed than the standard cab. So I kinda nixed that idea. I have also been told the mega cab isnt good for hauling campers, especialy with the weight of mine.

So far I have learned I need spacers, dually wheels and tires, and the part I am working on now...Fenders. The above link shows a picture of the finished product. Looks pretty cool if you ask me.

Thanks for all the feedback.
