Default Main Computer Failure

I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 with the Cummins Diesel and just had huge ordeal with the main computer failing on me. It took 7 days, 2 computers and specialized programming from an offsite programmer to get my truck back on the road again. Not to mention the $3000 the dealer charged for a part they said might just die again in a few years. So much for long lasting trucks. Has anyone had a similar problem with that main computer and has Dodge done anything to help you out? Seems like a major problem to be having.

you need to go to a different dealer. That ECM is jobber at around $600.

It seems like the dealers don't want to fix any of their motor problems. I've been without my truck for several months now. Still waitting on Chrystler. GOOD LUCK.
