Default 1999 Ram 2500 with several promblems

I have a 1999 Ram 2500 with 24 valve stock Cummings engine. Problems started out with speed meter quit working. Replaced the speed sensor at the trans didn't help. then a few weeks later was going down the road & truck died acted like it wasn't getting fuel & the check engine light is not coming on. finally started up after cranking on it & when it did it blew thick white smoke replaced fuel filter & added fuel treatment ran good until the next day started to die but pumped and held peddle to floor and it blew white smoke & stayed running but tries to die every 15 miles are so. mostly does it when coming to a stop or turning. a/c compressor quit working but freon is good. now when it dies can shoot a little either to it and it starts right up but the other day when it died I started it up took off and it wouldn't shift out of first gear pulled over & shut truck off started right back up and it shift fine but now it is starting to do it more. thinking maybe the power control module is going out. Any help with these problems would be thankful

You need to get a fuel pressure gauge on it to rule out a fueling issue. Is your speedometer still not working? That's probably going to be the speed sensor on the top of the rear diff.

My money is on your lift pump going out, not providing enough fuel to your injection pump. If that is the case, and you continue to drive it, you WILL destroy your $1000-1500 injection pump. Get a fuel pressure gauge on the low pressure line and see what it's doing.
