Default 1999 dodge avenger sensor help

I have a 1999 Dodge avenger V6. I recently had my check engine light come on, after the scans it was decided that my Vehicle speed sensor went out. I replaced the OUTPUT speed sensor (the one located on the transmission) But cannot locate the INPUT speed sensor. Any help on locating this sensor would be appreciated. thank you

output speed sensor causes no speedometer.
Input speed sensor causes incorrect gear ratio.
Sensors located side by side

the sensors are not side-by-side, that would mean they are right next to each other they are a foot apart!

bad output sensor= no speedo and NO shift
bad input sensor= no shift
