Dose anyone have any idea how to bypass the immobilizer on a 2007 2.4l SXT?
The immobilzer light on the dash is flashing and the engine malfunction light is also staying on.
Leading up to this immobilizer activation.I went to start the engine as usual the car started then shut down after 1 - 2 sec's did this four or five times then not start at all.
Have full dashboard instrumentation.
Have disconnected the battery for approx 10 min then reconnected. Disconnected the two inputs to the engine computer and reconnected, checked all the fuses in the fuse box holder.Added additional battery source from a charged battery to make sure of ample battery voltage.
At time of fault occurance the battery voltage read 12.6 volts. Hence the battery jump.Can't even tow the car as the steering has locked itself and is in the car port/driveway. In a predicament and my cash flow is next to nil. Any ideas anyone.
It's great that these cars have all the anti theft devises under the sun but becomes a real headache to the rightful owner when he can't or is unable to get his own vehicle mobile due to glitchs that occur at the most awkward and untimely places
