Hi have a 2008 Dodge Avenger which I bought brand new. Two days ago, when I started the car I found the sound system no longer worked. There was power going to the unit, but no sound coming out of the speakers.

Any idea what would be the cause of this and how to get it fixed?

 

Does the stereo power up ? change stations ? CD work ?

Do you have the premium system ? might be an amp failure

 

Yes, the stereo powers up ok. You can change stations, you can even see the digital information display for what they are currently playing. Not sure if it is the premium system or not.

On the bottom right of the radio faceplate there should be 3 letters. What are they?
