Default 1998 Dodge Avenger stalling out and now hesitating

I have a 98 Avenger with the 2.5L engine. I have been having issues with it stalling out when slowing down to make corners or coming up to stops. I have already replaced the IAC and MAS but I'm still having the dying issues.
Then today coming home on the interstate it was jerking going down the road.
Then I had a friend put on his Nova OBDII handheld diagnostic and it flashed the EGR and then it also showed a misfire on cylinders 1,3 and 4.

I had read on here where someone mentioned about plugging off the EGR to fix this problem of it dying, but I'm not sure where it should be plugged off and in all honesty I have looked at the manual and I can't quite figure out where the EGR is on this car. I do know where the EGR pipe does tie into the intake manifold over by the right side of the vehicle and then I saw another part that looks like a diaphragm that I believe goes with the EGR system and it has a hose from that diaphragm to the intake manifold and then there is a very small piece of tubing off of that going back into a box along the fire wall.

Couple of questions, where exactly do I plug the EGR at and will this also fix the hesitating issue and the misfires that coded up as well?
