Avenger 2.4L No Start
Avenger 2010 with the 2.4L, turns over but no start. Has fuel, spark, was running slightly rough 2 days before it happened and drove for 30 minutes, parked then wouldn't start. Had new crank sensors (3) changed in summer and new plugs, but code came back a couple of months ago and shortly after changing sensors. 60K on engine only, turning over it sounds a bit different than usual like a whirring sound. Neighborhood guy who works on cars checked compression and says it has none, and timing chain is fine according to him, he said needs new engine.
Hoping someone with a similar issue can shed some light on where to go from here and that it doesn't need a new engine.
