Hi All. I am working on a 2014 dodge avenger 2.4L. The battery light is on. I have confirmed its not charging. I took the alternator off and had it tested. It tested good at the parts store. It is getting 12V+ to one of the field wires. I assumed it must be the
pcm, so I replaced it. No help. Am I correct that the alternator should have around 3 ohms across the two field wire connections? Its showing open. I tried to ground the field wire from the pcm to see if it would charge. It did not. Am I correct that the alternator must be bad or am I missing something. TIA
