speakers?

Default speakers?

my girlfriend has a caliber sxt and just has the standard speaker package and shes going to upgrade now and get some kickers but when she turns the volume up to around 25 is cuts out and goes from speaker to speaker. what would cause this and how can it be fixed?

That would be covered under warranty (I'm assuming).

Sounds like a short possibly, I went through something similar with mine. You can get kickers through your dealer now at a pretty good price if you are planning to go that route. By application if the car doesnt' come w/ the boston sound they say you can only do the mopar p/n Kick06 which are 2 way 6x9's in the front and rear doors. What I installed in mine is the Kick06 2ways in the back doors and the Kick11 set in the front. The kick11 set comes w/ 4 speakersand gives you 2 6x9 midbass for the door and a set of 2 3-1/2" 2-ways you can install in the dash. I couldn't believe the sound difference from the stock speakers to the kickers. The other bonus is since they are mopar and designed for the newer dodges they are a direct plug in and don't require you to cut the factory plugs. Since my car didn't come with the dash speakers that part was custom wired, but the rest was 4 screws and one plug and it was done.
