TrueDelta Vehicle Reliability Survey results - Dodge Caliber
I've posted the latest results of TrueDelta's reliability survey to the site. These are for the year ending March 31, 2007. (CR currently provides results through March 31, 2006, making their data a year older.)
For the 2007 Dodge Caliber, I have an average of 5.8 months of data on 48 cars. The stat of 0.6 successful repair trips per year is about average for a 2006, and much better than earlier results. I suspect that early cars suffered from issues that Chrysler made running changes to fix.

My sister has an 06 caliber and that thing is rock solid, aside from being like a snowmobile and never shifting...
she has an 06 SXT it isnt fast, but it gets good mileage and is as reliable as the accord she had...

Think of the Caliber w/CVT transmission as a propellor airplane. Set the tranny in Drive. Set the rpms with the gas pedal, & away you go down the road(runway). Just like an airplane, the CVT Caliber engine stays at the same rpms but accelerates. Just like an airplane there is no shifting, but what seems like a smooth pulling propellor motion. Unlike an airplane if you drive for economy, there is little noise or vibration.
