Default Tachometer On Caliber

I have an SE with 5SPD manual. I love driving it and I have so much fun with it. I had a Concorde and this feels like a sports car. Just out of curiousity, I have no fear of pulling my dashboard apart. I was wondering if I purchase an instrument cluster with a Tach if I can just plug it in and go or is there special wiring that has to be done. Anyone?

I would say no because the info for the tach is a bussed info not a hard wire deal.

Also i can explain why this feels like a sports car.Because the possibility of staring with maximumtorsional force (moment) you can take only with manual transmisions.
