Default 2007 caliber park

I seem to just in the past couple weeks noticed that whenever I put the caliber into parkand step on the break, there seems to be a clicking noise from the shifter area...dealer told me its the solenoid that controls the shifter.. won't let you take it out of park unless the break is depressed... makes sense yet at the same time they tell me thats the way its built and just live with it.. the noise is fine and there is nothing they can do..anybody else run into this?... kind of worried that this could run into a problem of having the car stuck in park

The dealer was telling you the truth regarding the noise when you step on brake,
it it the PARK lock solenoid and if you can't get out of park for any reason
the small round access cover on the passenger side of the tranny hump
lets you push it manually.

This happened to me too.. should we take it to dealer? Is it fixable?
I have this car for 6 5 months now but I've noticed the clack just recently (or was it there but didn't hear it)

Was your noise there from the beginning?

The PARK lock solenoid noise is so minor in most cases
that it should not be a concern,of course you can see if the dealer will
adjust to satisfaction.
