Are there any people on this forum that work for Dodge ?
If there are, could you tell us where to get the following or post here for us......
A Dodge test report showing Gas Mileage vs RPM vs Speed for each of the Engine and transmission combinations ? I know there is one and how do we access the information...

bigtsr,
Good start, now what is the rpm at those speeds ? This is not a Chrysler Corp chart. But it looks pretty good and agrees with what I am getting. I'm probably doing a little better than that curve. I drive 70-72 on the freeway and even with some town driving I get 27mpg. How many miles on this Caliber that was used as the test car ?

I get better than EPA estimates consistently myself and have no gripes
with the Caliber after a 1-1/2 of driving it.
I found that after the TSB 18-031-07 was done my rpms
at 65 mph dropped by 300-400 rpm and hiway mpg jumped.
If you look at the chart I posted you can see the authors
email address,I would suggest you might try getting in touch
with him,he is a Caliber owner and appears to be into automotive
research.

bigtsr,
When did you get your Caliber and when did you have 18-031-07 done ? What are your rpms at 65. I asked for information on that TM but they said because of when my vehicle was made I didn't need it.

Well my SXT was a June 06 build and had all the criteria for the flash,
plus the fact that the Service Mgr at my dealership have had an ongoing
service history since 1985 and get along quite well.
The rpm at 65 mph dropped from approx 2450 to approx 2175 after the flash,
it didn't seem to be a noticable drop at city speeds but I always got
approx 26-27 mpg US in the city before the flash.
The added bonus was that it ran quieter to boot.

Ok, I just wanted to verify because mine is a Jan 07 build and wanted to make sure that TM was in mine. I get the same rpm at that speed so I must have the upgrade already. Good to know. I'll be climbing some hills during the Christmas season.
