Default Engine Wire Harness??

I recently purchased a used 2007 Caliber. I purchased the car Feb 12 and I love it!!!! BUT....3 days after buying the car my check engine light came on. I took the car in to have it diagnosed. (The car is still under the factory warranty) They told me my O2 sensors where bad ordered the parts and had me bring the car back. The o2 sensors where replaced but that did not fix the problem and they asked me to bring the car back again to replace the PCN?? So, I brought the car back, they replaced the PCN? but the problem was still not corrected. Then theyfound a coroded wire that lead to my heater. They fixed that, and everthing was diagnosing as ok. 2 weeks later, the check engine light came on again. I took the car in for diagnosis and they came back to me and said they had to replace my Engine Wire Harness. I scheduled my appointment which was supposed to be today the 3/14, so I dropped the car at the dealer last night. I got a phone call this moring from the dealer telling me they did not have the part in yet and that it was on backorder for SEVERAL WEEKS!!!!!!
Has anyone else had this issue, I found out that there are 21 of these harnesses on back order in my dealers region and I may have to wait until MAY to get this fixed.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! Will it hurt my car to drive it around with this issue??

I belong to several Caliber forums on the net and quite honestly
in the almost 2 yrs. I have belonged to them this is the very first
post I have seen where the engine wiring harness is being replaced.
The fact that as of January 08 there have 194,000 Calibers put into
service worldwide and not everyone who buys one is on the net
or belong to a Caliber sig does not make your problem any less
significant it just means it could be under reported.
Good luck and keep us posted as to your outcome be it good or bad.

Thanks for that "bigstr"!! I just came back from picking the carup. The part will take a month to come in! But, the mechanic told me that the "pin" that goes into the harness is missing a tooth and that is what is causing the issue. He said it was alright to drive. He also said it was a common issue right now and the part is under-manufactured!!! But, I still love this car!!!! I'll post any new info as I get it.
