I have a Caliber R/T with first generation UConnect (radio has code "REF" on it), no sirius, no nav. UConnect worked with other phones but when I got the iPhone 3G, it stopped working. It can pair, & but do nothing else.

Anyone knows how to fix it?? I saw lots of posting regarding firmware upgrade but it all applies to later radio, the myGig radio with different code.

There is an issue with the iPhone 2.0 OS update (which ships with the iPhone 3G by default) that makes the U-Connect on Chrysler vehicles not work properly. I have the original iPhone and before the OS 2.0 update U-Connect used to work like a charm and now it works half-*** at best. Hopefully Apple will fix this soon. This is an Apple issue as far as I'm concerned, not a Chrysler U-Connect issue as like I said U-Connect used to work fine before the OS update.

 

Apple has fixed this issue! All you have to do is download the iPhone 2.1 update from iTunes and install it. This also fixes a ton of other issues as well with the iPhone 2.1 update. Anyone who is having issues with U-Connect and their iPhone needs to download and install this update.
