Lightbulb Battery Cover - Silencer Delete

This is the easiest and quickest mod. I finnaly had time to look under my hood to see the set up. Turned the two locking pins and took out the air silencer which says battery cover on it. When off look through to see the restrictions... This let's in a ton of air and inproves response. Also give a lilttle more engine growl. I doubt it makes much differance on the Dyno but none the less I like my Cali more after doing this, at least till I get a K&N kit.

FYI: this will also let in more dust so a word to the wise. Like I said I am getting a K&N soon so I can trash the stock air filter for a couple of miles till then.

Yes I tried that same thing for 2 tanks of gas,it didn't improve the mpg and only
increased the overall noise levels while giving the perception of slightly better
acceleration. One thing you have to realize also is that by modifying the airflow
path you are now sucking all the air from under the hood so heatsoak is now the norm.
The battery cover/airpath provides colder fresh air from the leadedge of the hood.
