Default Power Lock Button (only the lock button) does not work

Hello All,

I have a 2008 Caliber. The issue i have with it is that the lock button on the door panel on the driver side does nothing. It will not lock the doors. The unlock button works. The fob works to unlock and lock. When driving all doors will lock automatically and they unlock automatically on exit. However if i attempt to lock the doors by press the lock button on the power door lock panel, nothing happens. Not a noise of any sort.

What could be the cause of o e button not working? Any suggestions are appreciated.
