will not go into gear

2009 Caliber will not go into 2nd, 4th ,or reverse [all the bottom gears ] . 1st and 3 workn fine [top gears]

If you are referring to a manual transmission (since you dont state that, I'll take a guess), sounds like the synchros are bad, or could be a linkage issue. Need to get a transmission shop to inspect it.
