driving to work last night on the interstate with the cruise on and set to 65mph, when all of a sudden it just shut off. the roads are clear as a bell so there wasnt any wheel spin that would have deactivated the cruise.

i hit the stalk and turned the cruise back on as indicated by the "cruise" light on the dashboard.

it failed to "set" a speed after many attempts. thinking there might be something wonky, i checked it again this morning before leaving work and again it failed to "set" a speed.

i checked the brake light switch and it works well enough to light the lamps.

i googled and youtubed but there was nothing specific to the Caliber and they all said to check the fuse and the brake light switch. after a couple of them, i quite watching...

can someone point me in the right direction to correct this? i drive 100+ miles a day and use cruise control extensively..
