Default New FWD R/T

Does anyone know if the Caliber R/T will be coming out this summer in a automatic FWD? I'm really interested in this car. I really think it is a great vehicle. I test drove one this past monday and it drove and handled great! Lots of power on the SXT. Not really sure about the R/T. I can't find a dealership around with a R/T on their lot. Let me know if anyone has info on the R/T.
Thanks,
Corey

The R/T model Caliber will ONLY come in AWD for the 2007 model. As for future models, its highly possible they offer a FWD version. Dodge.com wont even let you build a FWD R/T....

It's great to see your interest in the Dodge Caliber ccs23
Like DevilsReject mentioned, at this time there is no word on a Caliber R/T FWD Automatic. Keep checking www.dodge.com, they will post of any new revisions, or updates in the future.

As you are aware, the Dodge Caliber is a new member of the Dodge family, for this reason the Dodge Caliber 5-speed is a hard find. However, be assured they will be appearing on all dealer lots in the very near future. At the same time, are you aware of the 'dealer inventory search' on www.dodge.com? You can view all dealership inventories and see who carries an R/T.
Let me know if you need help

Thanks

Last I heard the FWD auto R/T is a late avaliability item for this year, around summer time.

edit: here's the specs for the 2007 dodge caliber, in it they give the weight for the FWD R/T with a note saying late availability. caliber specs

Unfortunately, being 'preliminary' specifications, I'm not able to quote on them. My apologies.
At this time, here at the Dodge Information Center, we have been informed of the R/T model only being AWD.

However, I will keep you all posted if further information becomes available.

Just a heads up but it does looks like it is confirmed they will be making a FWD R/T, I just got a flier in the mail from Dodge yesterday for the Caliber and it noted on it "*FWD R/T late availability".

If there is a FWD model, will it still have the CVT2 or a 41TE automatic?

R/T FWD in the full brochure is listed as LATE AVAILABILITY!

What it lists:

R/T FWD

2.4L DOHC 16V VVT 4-Cylinder/5-Speed Manual
2.4L DOHC 16V VVT 4-Cylinder/Continously Variable Transaxle (CVT2) W/ Autostick
