What are you paying for your Caliber?
I can't believe most are paying full MSRP for their Caliber. They are selling fast and dealers here only have 4 or 5 on the lot on any given day. I bought my SXT the same day it showed up to the dealer last week. MSRP was $20690. I paid $19360 which included the current $500 rebate. It's a fun car to drive.
Well I had a trade, so that makes a HUGE difference. Especially a trade like I have ('04 Stratus R/T Coupe w/Manual Trans). They'll probably never get rid of it because of the manual transmission and for the price of it, they can spend just a little bit more and get a totally brand new Stratus with all the rebates. So thats why I got mine at sticker price. I'm not complaining at all though, I still got over half off the car from my trade ($10,500) so my car is half paid for before I even have it. If I didn't have a trade I would have gotten a better deal. Some dealers are charging MORE than the stick price, which I think is just WRONG! All they're doing is taking advantage of the situation and padding their pockets because thats the only car that Dodge is actually selling right now.
I have a discount with my company. I'm paying 2.5% over Dealer Invoice.
For me it wasn't the car that was expensive. It's all the other add-ons. I ended up getting the full 5 year extended warranty with oil changes and the 5 year rust protection (in Canada its worth every penny).
Then there are the various insurances through Chrylser Financial. Still debating on if I'm going to take those.
I'm looking at about $500 CAN/month with taxes, extras, and financing for the 5 years.
Thanks.

How is your company able to get you 2.5% over invoice? My company is a supplier and my wifes company is an affliate. The only offer they had was $2000 off MSRP and that deal ended about 2 weeks ago. Currently there is no deals for suppliers or affiliates. Now Chrysler employees may still get some deal.
Through my husband's company, we qualify for some sort of affiliate rewards program - 1 percent under invoice. However, I've had several salesman offer invoice or below before we knew about the affiliate thing.
MSRP on mine was 20,195. The dealer told us the $500 rebate was not being offered anymore, this was about a month ago, but we fought him on it. We wound up almost walking out, so he took $500 off MSRP and gave us about $800 for our trade (beat up '96 Jetta with a bad clutch) which he only wanted to give $500 for initially in order to keep us in our monthly payment range. We had to almost leave to get that though.
When it came to financing, they wanted to give us 6.89%. We have perfect credit, and were pre-approved for 5.75% through our credit union So after almost walking out AGAIN, we got 5.89%.
I don't remember the actual numbers after down payment and everything, but our monthly is around $406 and that includes the extended warranty and LOJACK.
