Thanks for the nice comments Bill and Mahall.
The rims are Axis, I shopped all over for tires and the shop who sold me the rims recommended Cooper Tires. They merged with ( bought out, were bought by?) Avon so I thought I would give em a shot. The car feels like its glued to the road but does ride a little stiffer. Not as much sidewall I guess? The exhaust is an experiment with the local muffler shop. I was going to buy the Mopar one, but it's really steep for a car that might not see any other performance upgrades. I stopped by the shop who did the muffler on my 2500 Cummins and he put it on the rack to check it out. He does a lot of PT cruiser custom stuff and had some ideas for the caliber and wants to get a jump on the install as the car is getting popular here. I said go ahead so the muffler is an all stainless steel, dual outlet with a single inlet. He cut the oem unit out and fabbed up a pipe for it. It's a tad too loud for my taste but it does look kewl. If I was 30 years younger I might like it[8D],but my ten year old loves it. I spoke with the muffler shop about the racket and he said he can quiet it down real easy with some sort of resonater. If you are interested I'll take pictures and get manufacturers info for you. I'm waiting on the resonater now so it should all be done next weekend.

They ride stiffer huh? From the pictures, I can't tell if your rims are 19" or 20" THe reason I'm inquiring is the fact I bought a set rims and tires for my Caliber a while back, and want to know wha to expect out of them. Can I ask you how much your awesome set up set you back? Mine, 2 g's...[&:]

Thanks for that info Mike.. I may do the same thing you did "I stopped by the shop who did the muffler on my 2500 Cummins ", (small world huh?) . With the way the R/T's rear facia is notched, I would have to have a side exit rather than center as yours tho... since the upgrade cat-back system currently out is only for the 2.0 FWD models, I may be waiting awhile for one for the R/T unless I have it fabbed. I think I would have them put a resonator on it also.. I don't mind the noise on the Cummins (supposed to be loud right?)...but I would like to keep the Caliber quieter...

LOL! Yes it is a small world Bill!
I read your sig a realized you have a Dodge 2500 with a CUMMINS. It's not silver is it? Your Caliber looks great. I really like the
chrome sill guards. Did they come on the RT or are they accessories? I like the red too! When i bought my SXT the dealer had an orange RT that was ordered but the buyer backed out of. They offered it to me but I was nervous about the mileage with the AWD. Sure was tempting though. I bought the caliber because my truck (06 model) is avg 16 city/hwy and diesel fuel here in Cali is runnin $3.00 to $3.40 a gallon.
Yes mahal the ride changed. I dont know if all Caliber SXT's come with it but mine has a touring susp. on it. I would have to look at the build sheet to be sure but I thought It said option. It rode really nice with the stock 17's on it which were taller in the sidewall but when you move up in size, you ussualy have to go to a performance type tire which has less flex in the wall for better feel. (You prolbably knew that!). It's not objectionable, just tighter than with stock rims and tires. Thing corners like it's on rails for such a tall car.
I hear a little more road noise on certain kinds of roadway. On asphalt it's quiet as the stockers but on grooved cement there is a slight increase in tire noise. The rims and tires cost me just a tad over $1300.00 out the door but they kept my takeoffs which were the 17" alloys with firestones.

My 2500 is two-tone... the darker gray upper with silver lower accents... so, close again...
The sill guards were/are an option. So far (and this was with 800 miles on the clock) I averaged 22.1mpg mixed (mostly in-town) driving. That is about 2mpg better than the FWD Kia (2.7 V6 with the same HP and torque). Also, I was doing a lot of playing with the slapstick, so hopefully with a few more miles and more conservative driving, my MPG will get a little better. I know what you mean on the diesel.. running about $2.90 a gallon here.. and I get between 16-17 on the same mixed loop that I drive the Caliber on..
