Default Factory Order, Disappeared?

I was recently given the following order number by a dealer that I ordered a Caliber from: 17617710.
When I called DCX customer service, they stated that no such order was on file, ugh...[X(]
Does anyone using this forum have access to information regarding factory ordered cars?
The only thing I was given by the dealer was the above VON. I attempted to make some additions to the order.
However, The dealer stated they thought it might be too late and that I would have to get the additional options after the car arrived at the dealership.
I think that will be too expensive. I've also "heard" (not from the dealer) that the car was in order status "D1". That's from an unconfirmed source.
I have seen the posting of DCX order codes.

Can someone with access to vehicle information please help?
Thanks in advance!!

sounds like you have a jank-*** dealer[8D] good luck but if I were you I'd go to your dealer and be like, "listen you mother*ucker, I don't know what kind of a business you're running here but you listen to ME, I ordered a *ucking caliber and if you guys *ucked it up, you better compensate sufficiently or I'll sue your asses."

Maybe not that exactly but something along those lines. It's bull**** that any dealership would be that incompetent, so basically try and reap the benefits of your dealers stupidity.

Default RE: Factory Order, Disappeared?

My Dealer tried pulling a fast one on me too. I factory ordered a Red RT and got it for cost. I Subscribe to a company called "Car Cost Canada" which sells dealer invoice cost etc info. They reluctantly agreed to the deal. Car Cost Canada also shows the dealer gets a 400.00 hold back (nice to know). After we agreed on the dealer cost deal I took a few weeks to read forums, go for a test ride with the wife and kids etc and went back to put my down payment on the factory order. Then the sales manager comes in and tells me they are past the cutoff date to factory order. Now they'd have to sell me one of their lot stock but theres no way they are doing that deal for cost. Now they want 500.00 above cost. They explain that people are paying 1500.00 over retail to get a caliber so they are still giving me a good deal. I say I'll wait a few days to think. So I go and call 3 other dealers and they all say that they can still factory order. I go back and confront my dealer and they say that the other dealers are not going to do a factory order but are merely going to adjust one of their existing orders to try and match my requirements. Maybe that is what happened to your order. They didn't order you one from scratch but are trying to adjust an existing order to match yours. My story ended up with the dealer saying they had their "Dealer liason" get involved and had Chrysler OK my factory order even though it was passed "cutoff".
