Actually I did call them earlier this month with I was playing Caliber Roulette and the guy I talked to was arguing with me saying that you can't get daytime running lights on it in NYS when every other dealer would let me. Sorry to say, but they were the most unfriendly people I've talked to out of anyone in this area and didn't seem like they knew **** about the Caliber at all. I don't remember who I talked to exactly so I can't say for sure, but I don't know if I'd ever buy a car there.
You don't have what I want. If its not exactly like I've specified above, then I don't want it. I won't settle for anything less! (expect the things I said I could live without) I'm not going to spend $20000 on a car that only has half the options I want.
I ordered mine through Dansville DCJ in Dansville, NY. These are the most friendly people you could buy a car from, they give great deals, and I know that they're not going to throw all kinds of crap into the contract and hide it that I don't want like my local dealer (Simmons-Rockwell) does. So in other words, I can trust these people and just the way Hamtons Dodge came across to me, I don't think I could trust them, especially after you're saying they're selling Calibers thousands OVER invoice!!! To me, thats a bad way to do business and all they're doing is padding their pockets. They already make approx $1000-$1200 off each Caliber they sell just by selling it at the sticker price. Sorry if this is offending to you, but thats just the way whom ever I talked to came across to me...

I spoke to a salesman on the phone a few weeks back while inquiring if there were any Calibers on his lot and he mentioned something I found pretty interesting (but just not sure how true it is)...
He told me that while at some sort of regional training, they were told that for Caliber Orders/production that the stand-alone dodge dealerships will be first in line to receive their orders, over and ahead of the "Superstores"... the so called Dodge-Jeep-Chrysler dealers (which is where my car was ordered from). The logic as explained to me is that the DJC dealers have other vehicles to sell, while the Dodge Dealers are technically at a loss due to the departure of the Neon.
Can anyone out there confirm or deny this?

I've heard so many stories I don't know what to believe anymore. My dealer got allocation for 3 Calibers in April and they were all filled immediately. 2 of the Calibers were customer orders and 1 (Caliber R/T) was a stock order. All 3 Calibers came in and the Caliber R/T sits on the lot. So all 3 were made and delivered in about a month and the 2 customer orders were fill and they already have their Caliber. They are a CDJ dealer, though a small one. They only have like maybe 20 vehicles of different models on the lot.

Yes this does suck...you have to see it from chryslers viewpoint....Most of the dealers was promising plenty of prowlers and pt cruisers and selling what they could not deliver...DC is still going thru the courts thinning these law suits out to this day...So they started this with the 300C and carried it to the crossfire and the caliber as well, and probaly any high media demand car they might make in the future. It is a pain i know...but it protects you from the angish of having payed for something with your hard earned money and not being able to get what you paid for till the next year model run. Not sure of the area you live in so you may have to go beyond 50 miles to find one.
